Martin Scorsese’s Hugo is the best of 2011 according to the National Board of Review. The legendary helmer also was named the year’s best director.
Meanwhile, the group went with George Clooney (The Descendants) and Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin) for its top acting picks.
Christopher Plummer and Shailene Woodley were recognized for the supporting work in Beginners and The Descendants, respectively.
