In The Wackness (opening in limited release on July 3), Josh Peck (Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh) stars as a troubled teenage drug dealer who trades pot for therapy sessions with a drug-addled psychiatrist (Ben Kingsley) intent on living his life to the fullest.
It’s New York, in the summer of ’94, and the two form an unlikely friendship, but – there’s always a but…or in these case, a bud (ha!) – things get complicated when the kid falls for the doctor’s step-daughter.
You may have previously heard about The Wackness. Before it drew raves at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, it drew gasps as it became known as the movie in which Mary-Kate Olsen makes out with Kingsley.
So…save you a seat?
