What a Gay Time!

Now that California’s Supreme Court has struck down a law banning gay marriage, Hollywood’s celebrating.

Ellen DeGeneres has announced plans to wed her longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi (TV’s Arrested Development).

The sure-to be-controversial California Supreme Court ruling says that people have a fundamental “right to marry” the partner of their choosing – therefore a previous ban on gay marriage was ruled unconstitutional.

This is, of course, a major victory for the GLBT community – and I do dare say for the entire human race – but there’s still plenty to do.

So keep it up.

And best wishes to the DeGeneres-de Rossi couple...and congratulations and best wishes to the many more who are now allowed to marry in California.
