Entering a New TV Dimension

I’d been wondering when I would write about this guy again....

I mean, that he supposedly is dating Lea Michele clearly didn’t rise to the occasion, but that he’s getting ready to work with the girl?

Well – that changes things.

Robert Buckley (The CW’s iZombie) and the Scream Queen are, indeed, set to co-star on Dimension 404, a new six-episode sci-fi/fantasy anthology series that will debut on the streamer at a date TBA. They comely duo is set to be featured on the opening stand-alone ep, a story of unrequited swipin’.

So...kinda like Black Mirror (which I watch on Netflix)?

FYI, Dimension 404 was inspired by that pesky “404” error code you sometimes get while surfing the Web, and will evoke that mindless feeling of wandering into the darker, weirder corners of the Internet. Y’ know, so you can get all scared and s---.

L Yeah!

Vanessa Williams – who sometimes goes by Vanessa L. Williams, ergo the headline – is moving from Wisteria Lane to 666 Park Avenue next season.

The Desperate Housewife has joined the cast of ABC’s drama pilot as the co-owner of the historic luxury apartment building at the center of spookfest. Terry O’Quinn (TV’s Lost) will be playing her husband.

Also co-starring on the fall hopeful are Dave Annable (TV’s Brothers & Sisters) and Rachael Taylor (TV’s Grey’s Anatomy) and that cutie-patootie Robert Buckley.

Wilson Goes There

One of my favorites – now, why isn’t he a household name by now? (Marvel, make him a superhero, already!) – Patrick Wilson has joined the cast of the suspense drama The Ledge.

The movie centers on a man standing on a ledge – nice…literal – played by Charlie Hunnam, and the police officer who tries to talk him down (that’d be Terrence Howard).

Liv Tyler also has signed on to co-star.

But back to Wilson…. Don’t you just see him as a mighty fine Captain America? Calls have been put out for young actors (think Robert Buckley) for the part, but I think Wilson would bring a sophisticated som’in’ som’in’ to the role.

Oh well, John Krasinski will probably get it, but up next for Wilson is a blockbuster, this summer’s The A-Team.

Does This Mean I Have to Start Watching?

One door closes, Robert Buckley wins.

Now that Brian Austin Green has pulled out of a residency on TV’s One Tree Hill, Buckley has signed on to play a Jerry Maguire-esque sports agent.

Evidently, Green’s people got cold feet on the idea…. I guess they got word that the blogosphere was not hot on the casting and backed out. Why are people hating on the erstwhile David Silver, anyway? I think he’s swell, that Megan Fox is the one who’s actually keeping him back, and that yes, he should totally play the Green Lantern (get on the Google for background on all of that).

But I digress.

I think Buckley will do super on One Tree Hill, even though I’ve never watched the show. He’s a star – cute smile, hot bod, can walk and talk at the same time. I so approve.

Project Runway was supposed to make it so hip, but legal issues have delayed the arrival of Heidi Klum & Co. to Lifetime.

Nevertheless, the network’s on fire, and I’m not just talking about DietTribe’s Jessie Pavelka.

First, they gave us the irresistible Heather Locklear-Robert Buckley vehicle Flirting with Forty, and tonight marks the premiere of Prayers for Bobby, which tells the emotional true story about a 1970s religious suburban mother (Sigourney Weaver, pictured at right) who struggles to accept her young son Bobby (Ryan Kelley) being gay.

What happens to Bobby is tragic and causes Mary to question her faith, and ultimately, she changes her views in ways that she never could have imagined, becoming a crusader for tolerance for all.

Prayers for Bobby premieres tonight at 9 p.m. You must watch it.

Feeling Privileged

Robert Buckley (TV’s Lipstick Jungle) has been cast in The CW’s Privileged as the editor-in-chief of a magazine where two characters will hope to work in the final two eps of the show’s freshman season.

In spite of whatever Brooke Shields says, her yummy co-star Robert Buckley confirmed it to me at the grand opening of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach that Lipstick Jungle has been cancelled – you’re just going to have to take my word for it.

Today, though, this clip made its way to the Web as a rather cheap ploy to promote the show:

So, So Sexy

People magazine has named Hugh Jackman the Sexiest Man Alive for 2008 – and since I’m infatuated with all things Australia right now I couldn’t agree more.

Jackman, the magazine says, is a triple threat: a star who can sing, dance, and wield a weapon.

And the 40-year-old looks a-ma-zing doing so.

Although I would’ve been pressed to choose between the Aussie and Quantum of Solace’s Daniel Craig, the magazine has put the reigning 007 high on its list. Otherwise, they’d have an angry blogger to deal with, trust.

Also highlighted for their sexiness in the issue are Jon Hamm (AMC’s Mad Men), Zac Efron, Robert Buckley (whom I met last weekend, so I can honestly say yum! I mean, yes!), Blair Underwood, Javier Bardem, Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, Joshua Jackson (TV’s Fringe), and David Beckham, among others.

Update: Ever the jokester, George Clooney, a former Sexiest Man Alive, reportedly rang Hugh Jackman at 2 a.m. to ask the Awesome Aussie why he “took the title away from me.”
