UnPreserved

Point, GOOP?

Blake Lively is pulling the plug on Preserve, her not-quite-as-maligned-as-Gwyneth’s lifestyle website.

Evidently, the site was not quite ready when it went live last year, and, as the Age of Adaline star put it to Vogue, it was not “making a difference in people’s lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way.”

Meaning it wasn’t making the Lively-(Ryan)Reynolds household any money?

Lively has vowed to relaunch Preserve or a new incarnation of Preserve, saying she has a new plan and that she is rather excited about it.

For now, though, it looks like gf will be focusing on her real bread and butter: the movies.

Update: Preserve may be going offline, but it is doing so with quite a sale. Get it all while it’s hot!

Preserving the Pretty

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are doing humanity a favor and procreating.

Yes, the actor and his actress/Preserve businesswoman-wife announced they are expecting their first baby via her lifestyle website bright and early today, with a post all about “that special moment at the creation of family” that was accompanied with this oh-so-nice pic at right.

Sweet! Acongrats to the happy, gorgeous couple.

Preserve with Blake

As expected, Blake Lively has pulled a Gwyneth.

It happened this week: The former Gossip Girl star launched Preserve, her much-anticipated lifestyle website.

If memory serves, Lively told the new issue of Vogue (girlfriend is on the cover) that her site will be less haughty-aspirational – neither her words nor mine but rather, the general consensus – than G.P.’s GOOP and more of a celebration of the artisans living across America. (Whatever that actually ends up meaning.)

So why is the actress launching such an endeavor? Because she is, “hungry [and] not just for enchiladas [but] for experience.”

Alrighty then.

Check out what Preserve is all about by clicking here. (You know you want to.)
