The series finale of TV’s 30 Rock just got shot an infusion of sexy.

Salma Hayek is set to reprise her Season 3 role as Elisa, Jack’s (Alec Baldwin) murderous gal pal.

Looks like Jack’s gonna be quite the busy camper on the show’s final ep on Jan. 31: Julianne Moore, who played his Boston love Nancy, will also turn up.

Hayek joins a roster of guests that already also includes Ice-T and Nancy Pelosi.

Nancy Pelosi to the Set, Por Favor

By the Hammer of Thor, the end of an era is nigh.

Tina Fey’s 30 Rock is fast approaching the end of its oft-surprising, always-hilarious Emmy-winning run on TV later this month, and, of course, she’s invited a few high-profile peeps to join in on the fun.

Like Ice-T, former guest Julianne Moore, and...Nancy Pelosi?

Yep, the House Minority Leader, a confessed Fey fan, will appear on the show’s hour-long swan song on Jan. 31.

No details on she plays into the episode have been made available, but I hope our Liz Lemon isn’t in need of a congressional pardon or something.

Swimming Upstream

Ryan Lochte is headed to the top of the Rock.

Well, kinda.

The Olympic sensation will follow up his cameo on The CW's 90210 with another on 30 Rock. The swimmer himself confirmed his casting with New York magazine, but offered no details on who he will be playing.

Perhaps Liz Lemon's (Tina Fey) grown son in a flash-forward?

A Stone for a Rock

Emma Stone will be checking the funny over on TV’s 30 Rock this new, long-awaited season.

The Help star is actually going to cameo on the show and will be seen in a faux trailer for a faux movie called Martin Luther King Day (think Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve) that co-stars Jane Krakowski’s Jenna.

“I want to lay claim to that bit before anyone gets it,” said Tina Fey, the co-creator and star of 30 Rock.

Among the other familiar faces that will pop up on the episode airing later this month? Andy Samberg and Nick Cannon.

It’s almost time for 30 Rock to come back.

Well, at least NBC is doing that right.

Yeah, I’m still pissed the Peacock shelved Community until who knows when. But here are a few thoughts on how you can support that gem of a comedy – from the mouths of the show’s stars themselves.

Anyway, going back to Tina Fey & Co., it seems our Liz Lemon’s got a secret, or at least that’s what this promo for the upcoming sixth season is teasing:

30 Rock will be back on the tube on Jan. 12.

James Is Gonna Rock

Last year, he did Modern Family, and this year hes doing 30 Rock.

I’m talkin’ about that cutie-hotootie James Marsden, recently seen in Straw Dogs, who is set to guest on one, maybe two episodes of the hit TV comedy later this season (the show’s premiering later than usual, to accommodate Tina Fey’s maternity leave).

No official word on who the actor will play, although a casting call last month looked for a man ages 36-40 who play Liz Lemon’s latest love interest.

That L2 sure gets plenty of studs to play in her barn. I mean...Jon Hamm...Matt Damon...now James Marsden.

I want to go to all of theres.

Matt Damon: In Something, Not In Something Else

The war between film and TV rages on.

OK, so there’s no actual war of the sort going on, but let’s go with it because it helps illustrate the current tug for the talents of one Mr. Matt Damon.

The Hereafter star reportedly will not be featured in The Bourne Legacy – ’cause longtime-series-screenwriter-director-for-this-one Tony Gilroy is “building a legend and an environment and a wider conspiracy…the world we’re making enhances and advances and invites Jason Bourne’s return [down the road]” – but he may pop on your TV live this week.

Nope, not on SNL, but on Thursday’s live episode of 30 Rock, which will feature Jon Hamm and Cheyenne Jackson.

Funny Silver Fox

TV’s 30 Rock is getting another shot of AMC’s Mad Men.

Jon Hamm already has made a handful of appearances on the Emmy-winning comedy – he’s even going to be on the live episode on Oct. 14 – and now his co-star John Slattery is joining Tina Fey & Co. as a guest on an upcoming ep.

The actor will play a (very sexy) candidate running for congress in the seventh episode.

Is That You, Astronaut Mike Dexter?

Ever since I heard that Matt Damon would be guesting on the May 20 season finale of TV’s 30 Rock, I’ve been anticipating, with breath that is bated, finally – at last! – meeting Astronaut Mike Dexter, Liz Lemon’s (Tina Fey) wishful-thinking boyfriend.

As we learned from last night’s laughstastic Mother’s Day-themed episode, Liz could’ve been Buzz Aldrin’s son…which means her mom, too, had a thing for space men.

I love that the fascination runs in the family. Also...what?

So maybe, just maybe, Damon will be playing the man of Liz’s dreams, Astronaut Mike Dexter. His costume for the episode sure points that way.

They’re Rock-ing Matt Damon!

Tina Fey wanted her some Matt Damon, and by golly...Tina Fey got her some Matt Damon.

The 30 Rock mastermind had let it be known she wanted the Oscar winner to be on her hit TV show – “She should call my people...or even better me. Or I could call her. Let’s make this happen,” he said upon hearing about it last December – and now the actor is set to guest on the show toward season’s end.

Could he be playing Liz Lemon’s up-until-now-imaginary boyfriend, Astronaut Mike Dexter?

Who knows – details of Damon’s appearance are being kept secret, so we’ll have to wait and see.

She Can Do It All!

Elizabeth Banks is one smart cookie.

The actress is going from one hit TV sitcom to another now that she’s signed on to appear on 30 Rock as Jack Donaghy’s (Alec Baldwin) latest conquest. (The role is potentially recurring.)

I can only assume she will be a rebound of sorts: This week, Julianne frakkin’ Moore kicks off a multi-episode arc as Jack’s high school crush.

Back to Banks, though: Can you think of any other gal in Hollywood who walks the line between the movie and TV worlds with more grace or aplomb? Talk about a lack of vanity.

Cheyenne to Get His Rock Off?

This is potentially great news (not to mention arousing): Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson may be joining the cast of TV’s 30 Rock as a regular or semi-regular this season.

NBC wouldn’t comment on the matter, simply telling my BFF Ted Casablanca over at E! Online that, “Unfortunately, at this time, the show is not commenting on any castings. Sorry about that.”

Tina Fey, you have got to make this happen!

Emmys Rock, Get Mad – Again

The 61st Annual Emmys Awards offered up a few surprises when all the envelopes were opened – but not in the biggest categories of them all.

Once again, defending champs 30 Rock was named Best Comedy (yay!), while Mad Men picked up the award for Best Drama.

In her acceptance speech, 30 Rock mastermind Tina Fey thanked NBC for keeping the show on the air, even though, it’s more expensive than a talk show (yeah, she means you and your big bag of taking time off primetime, Jay Leno).

A Hamm for Tina Fey

That Tina Fey is one heck of a lucky lady.

Not only does she have enough awards gold at home to help out a few of Bernie Madoff’s victimized, she gets to make out with Jon Hamm (AMC’s Mad Men) in an upcoming three-episode arc on TV’s 30 Rock.

Hamm will play Fey’s Liz Lemon's neighbor-turned-suitor on the NBC sitcom, and the actress promises the two will be involved in some “shenanigans.”

Sounds like a fun, sexy time will be had.

The Stars Are A-Rockin’

The premiere of the third season of the Emmy-winning 30 Rock is two days away – so get ready to laugh again.

Joining the impossibly It Tina Fey as guest stars this year will be Oprah Winfrey on Nov. 6 and Jennifer Aniston on Nov. 13, plus Megan Mullally, Steve Martin, and Salma Hayek, but not Blake Lively and Leighton Meester.

The third season of 30 Rock premieres on Oct. 30 on NBC. Here is a preview:

And just like that – yeah, just like that – my great hopes to see Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively and Leighton Meester cameo on 30 Rock have been dashed.

The Lively-Meester cameo was 86d for “logistical” reasons.

Rock-ing Emmy

Hollywood said good-bye to summer last night with the season’s hottest party, the 60th Annual Emmy Awards Emmy Awards.

Leading nominees 30 Rock (NBC), Mad Men (AMC), HBO’s John Adams (HBO) showed everyone why they were so when they picked up, among other awards, the best comedy, best drama, and best miniseries trophies.

30 Rock stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin walked away with Emmys for their work on the hit, yet little-watched show, while Bryan Cranston (AMC’s Breaking Bad) and Glenn Close (FX’s Damages) were named best actor and actress in a drama.

In the supporting categories, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recognized Jeremy Piven (HBO’s Entourage) and Jean Smart (ABC’s Samantha Who?) won for their comedic work, as well as Damages’ Zeljko Ivanek and Dianne Wiest’s (HBO’s In Treatment) drama chops.

Jeff Probst (CBS’ Survivor) was named the winner of the first ever Best Reality Host Emmy. For a complete list of winners, click here.

Finally, for what really matters: the fashion.

Lipstick Jungle’s Brooke Shields did color like nobody’s business in fuchsia Badgley Mischka, Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams looked all sorts of beautiful in an asymmetric black-and-white Kevan Hall, Lost’s Evangeline Lilly scored a huge red carpet victory for the show in champagne Elie Saab, The New Adventures of Old Christine’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus had it so she showed it in Narciso Rodriguez, and 30 Rock’s Jane Krakowski gave good back in navy Versace.

I can already see Gossip Girl’s headline: “Spotted: The Queen Bee and the It Girl, Getting Catty at 30 Rock….”

Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, frenemies on The CW’s Gossip Girl, will appear in a November sweeps episode of NBC’s 30 Rock.

The increasingly stunt-happy, Emmy-nominated sitcom has cast the two young actresses as “former high school classmates of Liz Lemon’s in a flashback sequence that reveals a shocking and deeply ironic truth about Tina Fey’s morally superior alter ego: She was a Mean Girl!”

Meester and Lively join a roster of third-season-of-30 Rock guest stars that includes Jennifer Aniston, Will Arnett, and according to the blogosphere, even Oprah Winfey.

A Friend at 30 Rock

Jennifer Aniston will make a return visit to NBC this season, as a guest star on 30 Rock, her publicist confirmed last week.

There were no immediate details on Aniston’s role or the episode’s air date, although knowing both the actress and the show you can expect them both to be funny.

30 Rock’s third season will premiere in October.

Emmy’s Rocking Mad

Nominations for the 60th Annual Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and it looks like someone loves her some Tina Fey and some dapper gents.

It was a good morning for Pushing Daisies’ Kristin Chenoweth and How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris, too. Both were nominated this year (they made the announcements).

NBC’s 30 Rock and AMC’s Mad Men emerged as the frontrunners with 17 and 16 nods apiece.

ABC’s Lost received a much-deserved nomination in the Drama Series category, but Michael Emerson, who plays Ben, nabbed what seems to be the show’s sole acting nomination.
