You know, the live-action Cruella de Vil origin story for which Disney was reported last week to be courting the Academy Award-nominated Birdman actress?
I kinda need to know. I know, I know, but, look, it has gotten past the point of liking to know. Because I am starting to get the strong feeling that Disney is eyeing a potential come-to-Walt live-action Avengers-style meeting of Stone’s Cruella and Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent and Cate Blanchett’s
Which, yes...that would completely bastardize TV’s Once Upon a Time’s concept – but that is a Disney joint, and money is money.

Update: Well here’s a thought.
Perhaps, Emma Stone should look into playing departing Vogue creative director Grace Coddington in the biopic based on the legendary fashionista’s 2012 memoir that she is is now freer to develop.
It could be a Boyhood-type of scenario in which Stone portrays Coddington as a young Welsh woman coming into her own as a model, only to see it all come to a quite literal crash just as we was beginning to launch her career. Twenty years later, the actress would reprise the role to play Coddington as the legend we all fell for with 2009’s The September Issue.
