Now how’s this for exciting news?Chris Pine is in talks to play CIA analyst Jack Ryan in a redux of the movie franchise that was spun from the Tom Clancy novels.
Pine, who broke through last summer with the Star Trek reboot, would be the fourth actor to play the role of Jack Ryan.
Alec Baldwin originated the character in The Hunt For Red October, Harrison Ford took it over for Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, and Ben Affleck played Ryan in The Sum of All Fears.
The actor also has signed on to play the lead in The Art of Making Money for director D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye).
