Snowdend?

Ready to leak all over the place, Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

Ew, that sounds wrong.

But JG-L just kinda may.

The Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For star is talking to director Oliver Stone about headlining his project about NSA leaker Edward Snowden, after all.

Stone is hard at work writing the film based on Luke Harding’s The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man, and Anatoly Kucherena’s Time of the Octopus (Kucherena, incidentally, is the whistleblower’s Russian lawyer).

Smells like awards bait to me.

Too Sexy for Her Poster

Eva Green is officially too hot to handle.

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has determined that a one-sheet for the upcoming Sin City: A Dame to Kill For featuring a too-strong hint of the actress’ nipple situation is inappropriate for public consumption. Because of nudity.

But since we live in the these days...here ya go.

Btw, I normally think that the MPAA is a little whack, but I am inclined to see their point – no pun intended – on this one. I will take my posters at the movie theater without any areola, thankyouverymuch, as I’m sure would be the preference of any parent with a child that just finished asking if they are gonna see How to Train Your Dragon 2 and mommy, mommy, what’s up with that lady’s titty!

Man With a Plan

It has been such a long time since I read anything about Clive Owen.

The Oscar-nominated stud was almost there back in 2009 with The Boys Are Back, but that didn’t quite cut it – the film didn’t quite make him a superstar.

An Emmy-nominated turn on HBO’s Hemingway & Gelhorn followed, as did an unbuzzy David Schwimmer movie, and a buzzy 2013 Cannes title, Blood Ties (which was in theaters for half a minute and which you can catch on the iTunes now).

But now he’s back. He is on.

Owen has the romance Words and Pictures, co-starring Juliette Binoche, coming out later this month, as well as a little indie called Sin City: A Dame to Kill For later in the summer.

Things are good.

Now comes word that the actor is joining Greta Gerwig and Julianne Moore in Rebecca Miller’s Maggie’s Plan, a new comedy of manners set in New York City.

To which I say right on. We need more of that Owen brawn – and charm – in our lives.

Dangerous Dame

Looks like Eva Green (pictured here) is gonna bring it once again in the upcoming Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Just like she did in 300: Rise of an Empire.

Green is but one of the dames featured in the Aug. 22 offering, which will feature returning-to-the-franchise stars Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson, as well as Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christopher Meloni, and Mickey Rourke (the movie’s plot is set to take place before the first Sin City).

Check out there trailer for the blockbuster.

Stylish stuff, huh.

Here’s Johnny!

In case you weren’t appropriately excited about the upcoming Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, here’s a first look at Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny, a new character that will be introduced in the late-summer follow-up.

Frank Miller – who shared directing duties on the long-in-the-works project once again with Robert Rodriguez – needed/wanted a new character that would play a significant part in the stylish noir’s intersecting stories.

So…he dreamt one up for Gordon-Levitt to play. Well, for Johnny Depp to play, but he was not interested, and thats neither here nor there.

Anyway, Johnny’s “beat[ing] the wrong guy at poker” reportedly sets the sequel into motion, and as you can appreciated, Gordon-Levitt seems to have brought it.

Yay (love that dude).

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens on Aug. 22.

Lord, Ava

The alluring Eva Green is headed to Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

The Euroest of starlets – and I mean that with utmost love – has signed on to play Ava Lord in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s forthcoming sequel. Her character is described as “one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City.”

Oof, femme fatale! J’approve.

The auteurs are already hard at work in Austin, Texas, to get the film ready for an October release.

Sin City’s Getting Studly

The powers that be working on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For weren’t happy with just upping the sequel’s hip factor by casting Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a key role, they also want its stud index to blow through the roof.

So to ensure this happens they have turned to Christopher Meloni.

The former SVU and True Blood star is joining the project as a safe-to-assume-crooked cop.

Mmm...Meloni and cuffs. Rough cuffs. There’s a thought for ya.

Oh, and btw: Josh Brolin is on board, too, as the younger version of Clive Owen’s character.

Just go with it.

JG-L Feels the Need for Sin

When the Sin City: A Dame to Kill For call sheet is finally printed, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s name will be on it.

Indeed, the Looper star has signed on to join the Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller movie, as Johnny, a new character who will play a significant part in the stylish noir’s intersecting stories.

Btw, the powers that be reportedly offered the role to that most famous Johnny of them all at first: the one by the last name Depp.

Anyway, Gordon-Levitt joins members of the original Sin City ensemble like Jessica Alba, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, and Rosario Dawson in the sequel, as well as newcomer Dennis Haysbert (TV’s 24). Josh Brolin is also supposedly being considered to join the project, which should give him reason to be...happy.
