Aprendelo!

Röyksopp is so last year.

Kids! Have you heard that Robyn is part of a new music venture called Robyn & La Bagatelle Magique?

And their single “Love Is Free,” featuring Maluca, is the jam?

Heck, it could be the song this summer has been looking for, y’all. Have a listen:

Boom, huh!

Say It with Robyn This Summer

Yes. Yes, yes!

Robyn is back with some new music and going on tour this summer, with Röyksopp.

Now that is gonna be some good, dance-y fun.

I mean, I am hearting what little I’ve heard of their new collaboration, “Say It.”

Dancing on Saturday Night

I know the headline said Katy Perry will be hosting the Dec. 10 installment of Saturday Night Live, but the news...the news is Robyn will be the show
’s musical guest!

Could I be more excited?

Well, my, yes, yes I could (if I had a cold chance in hell to be there).

What will the Swedish sensation perform? Something off her woefully underdiscovered Body Talk albums, I’m sure, but what?

She definitely should do “Dancing on My Own.” Maybe “Call Your Girlfriend”? Or should she go old-school and dust off “Show Me Love”?

Oh, I know: Let the show be a 90-minute Robyn concert!

Robyn Does Coldplay

She’s done it again.

Not happy with putting her own stamp on Alicia Keys’ “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart,” Robyn has now turned to Coldplay’s “Every Tear Is a Waterfall.”

Pretty neat, huh.

From the Perspective of the New One

I heart Robyn.

I heart her so much I honestly cannot think of anyone else who could make me listen to anyone who’s an about-to-be-ex’s newest sing about being that person and make enjoy myself and kind of get where they’re coming from.

That’s just what the Swedish star has managed with her enthralling new single, “Call Your Girlfriend,” the video of which just dropped:

Even when singing about being the new girl this gal is the cutest thing on the planet.

Now, that’s some talent.

Keep Your CPR

Do look know and open your ears, mofos, because Robyn just dropped a new song, and it is a goody.

The Swedish star has reteamed with her countrymen the Teddybears for “Cardiac Arrest,” a beyond-catchy tune that’s giving me the right kind of palpitations.

Make her a star, already, people. Come on!

The Epitome of It

Robyn may just have booked a gig worthy of her status as an on-the-brink artist.

The Swedish star is going
to headline next month’s 2011 NewNowNext Awards on Logo.

Also slated to perform at the show, which will honor the next big things in TV, music, film, and media, are
Oh Land and Wynter Gordon.

People, pay attention – at last!

Robyn Ruled 2010, But Hardly Anyone Noticed

Every once in a while, a truly one-of-a-kind act pops on the music scene, and they are so fantastic, so f---ing original, so tremendous it almost goes without saying they will go unnoticed.

2010 was supposed to be Robyn’s year.

The Swedish import was supposed to explode – I mean, girlfriend put out not one, not two, but three albums and toured her little heart out.

Alas, as much as she connected with critics she failed to do the same with audiences (not to mention radio), at least, to any tangible degree, in the United States.

Which is a shame because the music she put out had substance, rhythm, and beat. It was contagious, amazing, and instantaneously addictive.

Those are some of the reasons The Guardian has named her “Dancing on My Own,” the lead single off her Body Talk Pt. 1, the best track of the year.

Listen – and see – for yourself why:

Heartbreak never sounded better, did it?

Robyn Does Alicia

Note to self: I gotta order the new Robyn album, Body Talk Pt. 1, featuring “Dancing on My Own,” ASAP.

Amazon.com is gonna be happy to see me....

I am reminded of this because, by the power of Twitter, I found out this morning that Robyn has covered Alicia Keys’ “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart” for the BBC’s Radio 1.

I love that song – it’s like, my jam right now.

And I am loving Robyn’s version like a hooker loves a john who turns out to be her prince charming: undeniably.

Case of the Ex

Robyn’s new single, “Dancing on My Own” off her upcoming Body Talk Pt. 1, is such a happy, yet heartbreaking song.

I love it.

It’s like, the dance answer to Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable” – a phenomenally sad, although complete upbeat yeah-look-at-me-I’m-oh-so-fine-without-you.

The song and its
video are all about Robyn running in her ex-bf (with whom she just broke up) at a club.

Awkwardness and empowerment ensue.

Fitting the Crown

To me, Madonna will always be the one and only queen of the dance floor.

However, I will allow Swedish pop singer-songwriter Robyn to call herself the “Dancehall Queen” since that’s the name of her latest single, which found its way online today.

I can’t wait to hear some more.

Just Because, Pt. 28

This one’s for you, because “you never were, and you never will.”

And because I spent the weekend listening to my Robyn Rakamonie EP.

And because I hearted it.

Robyn Hits the Sweet Spot

Madonna’s going on a world tour this summer – and she’s taking Robyn with her when she goes.

Music’s It Girl – her self-titled latest is in stores now (get it, get it) – will open select European dates of the Queen of Pop’s hot-ticket “Sticky & Sweet Tour,” beginning on Aug. 26 in Nice, France.

“Having been a fan of Madonna since I was a little girl, I’m very excited about sharing a stage with her and playing to her audiences,” the Swedish pop singer-songwriter said. “I’m thrilled.”

For a taste of Robyn’s live sound, click here and check her out doing it “Cobrastyle.”
