Prêt-à-Lindsay

In a decision that shan’t surprise anyone with an Internet connection and lots of free time, Emanuel Ungaro has tapped Lindsay Lohan as “artistic advisor” alongside a new chief designer Estrella Archs.

Esteban Cortazar, Ungaro’s head designer for the past two years, reportedly clashed clashing with the fashion house’s management over marketing strategy, and is said not to have been happy with the decision to bring Lohan on board.

But, as Heidi Klum always says, in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day, you're out.

La Lohan plans to take Ungaro to a “younger place” with a harder fashion edge.

“When I’m involved in a project, I give my all to it,” L2 told Women’s Wear Daily. “I’ve always played a big part in what I wear, the costumes. Clothing is something that’s so expressive in so many ways…. To be in a position where I’m working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other celebrity brand.”

Right…. Somewhere, a fashionista just died a little.

Back to the Drawing Board, Linds

That noise you hear is the sound of fashionistas booing Lindsay Lohan away from Paris Fashion Week.

The sometimes-actress’ first collection as artistic advisor for Ungaro received what can only be described as quite the panning yesterday.

Women’s Wear Daily called the Spring-Summer 2010 runway looks, which Lohan co-whatever it is she did, “an embarrassment.” (I’m no Tim Blanks, but they’re not that awful.)

The clothes, in fact, left “several people aghast,” said The New York Times, while noted French art director Fabien Baron told the Times, “Call the fashion police!”

Decked in a white dress, L2 walked the runway with designer Estrella Archs and was seen fighting off tears.

No word on whether they were tears of happiness, or if she was hoping a hole would open up at the end of the runway and swallow her whole.

SJP Hearts Halston

The fashion world is abuzz: Sarah Jessica Parker wil be taking on…a job at Halston Heritage.

No, not as a needle-and-thread gofer – the smart money is on a creative director title.

How very Lindsay Lohan at Ungaro.

The union between the actress and the fashion house’s secondary line, which features archival looks, makes total sense since girlfriend’s prominently sporting a sure-to-be-flying-off-the-racks white little Halston Heritage number (pictured at right) in the poster and trailer for the upcoming Sex and the City 2.

So It!
