Wait, what?
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are married! Or so reported Us Weekly last week, and I just saw it.
Seems the longtime couple quietly made it official earlier this year.
The two have a couple of daughters together: Esmeralda Amada, 2, and 5-month-old Amada Lee.
Que lindo! Almost as cute as the doctored photo at right that I found on the Google.

Dem Sweet La La Sounds
Damien Chazelle’s upcoming jazzy set-in-a-Los Angeles-of-goldener-years – ish – love story La La Land is sooo gonna be the film of the fall for certain people.
Chiefly the younger ones.
I mean, the film looks dreamy. Plus, hello! It stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone; she as an actress, he as the pianist for whom she falls.
Swoon, right?
Anyway, we keep getting these teasers, which are only making me want to have Dec. 2 be tomorrow because that would mean the film would be opening tomorrow. And then I would be a :).
Check out the latest preview, which features the singing stylings of the actress:
Sweet.
Now Count me among the foolish.

Their L.A.
The most magical thing of the week that almost was?
The first trailer for director Damien Chazelle’s upcoming jazzy set-in-a-Los Angeles-of-goldener-years love story La La Land, which, as I know you know, stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
Check out the preview, for real, because it not only is full of whimsy, it also features Gosling singing the new original song “City of Stars.”
La La Land – which co-stars J.K. Simmons, Finn Wittrock, and John Legend, and is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival at the end of August and scheduled to open stateside on Dec. 2 – is gonna be the film of the season, not to mention, more than likely, the upcoming awards season.

Twice the DILF
Congratulations go out to Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, since those two crazy-good-looking – and elusive – kids went and became parents for the second time late last month.
FYI, the longtime partners had another daughter, Amada Lee Gosling, in Santa Monica, Calif., on April 29.
Gosling and Mendes welcomed their first, Esmeralda Amada, in September 2014.
Now I better catch The Nice Guys when it opens...give that DILF a solid opening weekend....

RyGos Doubles Down on DILFhood, Too!
Thursday?
More like Babyday.
Hot on the heels of the news that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are expecting another baby comes word that that other hot Ryan, DILF Ryan Gosling, is, too, expecting a second kid with his longtime partner Eva Mendes.
The couple welcomed daughter Esmeralda two years ago this September.

As Neil Armstrong?
Ryan Gosling must be loving working on La La Land with director Damien Chazelle.
Why?
’Cause RyGos has his eye on First Man, a Neil Armstrong biopic that Chazelle will helm. Spotlight’s Josh Singer is writing the script based on the James R. Hansen-penned biography, First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong.
Up first for Gosling, however, is The Big Short, opening on Dec. 11.
Now. I love me some Ryan Gosling, and I appreciate that he has the clout to get this off the ground, but I think someone like Sebastian Stan probably has more of what it takes, physically, to play Neil Armstrong.
Heck, you know who would absolutely fit the look? Brian Geraghty (NBC’s Chicago franchise, Flight).
Alas, Geraghty is not quite there yet.
Again, I think the Gos is the s---, but him as Neil Armstrong could be Steve Jobs all over again.

The Gos Is Ready for Saturday Night!
Finally! Ryan Gosling is hosting TV’s Saturday Night Live this season.
The Big Short star will do the honors on Dec. 5, with musical guest Leon Bridges.
Chris Hemsworth – who will be in the thick of promoting Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea – will host the following week, with Chance the Rapper taking to the stage for the night.
And, finally, Sisters Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will close out the year on Dec. 19. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on hand that night.
But back to the Gos.
SNL better write him one heckuva show.

La La Land Lovers
Those Crazy, Stupid, Lovers, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, are getting back together.
Sure, they both had plum parts in 2013’s Gangster Squad, but it’s not like that movie was about the two of them ensemble just à deux.
Now, thought, the two impossibly It stars are fixin’ to reunite in director Damien Chazelle’s follow-up to Whiplash, La La Land, a contemporary romantic musical. Whiplash’s own Miles Teller was, evidently, meant to headline the project, but, for whatever reason, he has moved onto something else.
RyGos would play a jazz pianist who falls in love with an aspiring actress, which – duh – is the role that Stone would take, btw, instead of another Emma (Watson), who also has set her sights on a different endeavor (the live-action Beauty and the Beast).

Fingers crossed Gosling and Stone do it again. I like it when they do it.
Act off each other, that is. Don’t be gross.

Haunted RyGos
A little something fanpeoples have been lusting for now for a good long while is finally going to happen.
More than likely.
Ryan Gosling is set to work with filmmaking multi-hyphenate Guillermo del Toro.
RyGos is circling the director’s next project, a supernatural family-friendly – i.e., Disneyfied – take on The Haunted Mansion that – nevertheless, del Toro promises – will make the young ones “scream.”
The project has been in the works since summer 2010, evidently. So, fingers crossed, Gosling is the one final piece of the puzzle that takes it toward the finish line.

Potential Beast
Emma Watson could be a very lucky girl.
Rumor has it the powers that be are looking to make Ryan Gosling the Beast to her Belle in the forthcoming live-action musical telling of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
I know, right?!
While I would hate not to see Gosling’s pretty face for the majority of a movie, I have to say that this would be pretty awesome sauce.
:)

RyGos Hits a Snag
Looks like we will not have to worry about Ryan Gosling hanging his acting gloves any time soon, after all.
Following the très froide reception that his directorial debut, Lost River, enjoyed at last summer’s Cannes Film Festival, the decision has been made not to release the film in theaters stateside.
The film, however, will see the light in the new year.

Right now, the plan is give it a multi-platform home entertainment release in the spring.
Yo, RyGos – lemme know if I can lick your wounds. I would be happy to fall on that sword....

’Cause #IFMI: RyGos Is a DILF!
It finally happened: Our savior was born.
Hey...theDILF dad is Ryan Gosling.
Get it?
In case not, what I mean, of course, is that #BabyMendesGosling – whose arrival I was tweet-wondering about probably as it was happening on Sept. 12 – was born, y’all. And that RyGos is a god.
Duh.
Anyway, ya gonna love this: The bouncing bundle of joy reportedly was a baby girl!
Like, hey girl...how perfect is that?

Nice Dick Gosling
DILF-to-be Ryan Gosling may have once said that as soon as he started making babies he would quit it with the making of the movies, but the guy is showing no sign of stopping any time soon.
Thank goodness.
See, RyGos is totally gonna star opposite Russell Crowe in Shane Black’s The Nice Guys, a film based on a script the Iron Man 3 director co-wrote a few years ago, about two L.A. detectives – each in a different relationship with booze – investigating the mysterious suicide of a fading 1970s porn star that leads to uncover some sort of conspiracy.
I hope the cracking of the case requires some undercover work for the actor.
That would be nice, no?

RyGos Is Gonna Be a DILF!
Give it up: You will not give Ryan Gosling his firstborn.
That pleasure will be all his longtime girlfriend Eva Mendes’, who, it was confirmed today, is pregnant with the couple’s first baby.
The Internets, of course, took the slooow approach to accepting this news, and most have (jokingly, I should trust) taken to saying that the actress (his Place Beyond the Pines co-star) totally baby-trapped our RyGos.
Which I think is rude. And bull, for a more positive way of looking at things is: Eva Mendes is making Ryan Gosling a DILF!
Silver lining, yo. Silver lining.

Well This Sounds Promising...
So Ryan Gosling attended last month’s Cannes Film Festival, to introduce his directorial debut Lost River, f.k.a. How to Catch a Monster.
And the reception was kinda brutal.
Evidently, the line between being considered an original auteur and being considered a rip-off is a fine, fine one. And Gosling didn’t straddle it, as a first-time helmer, as well as he acts. Or so thought the critics at the Croisette.
The basic gist of what they said? RyGos has, in “a first-rate folie de grandeur” (what...a backhanded compliment, huh!), borrowed way too much from filmmakers like David Lynch, Terrence Malick, and his own pal Nicolas Winding Refn for the good of the film, which they called baffling, indulgent, and a f---ed-up nightmare. Among other things.
Guess there’s only one direction in which he can go now, right?
Hey...but at least he still looks studly as ever. Clearly. And everyone was pretty much in runaway agreement about that one.
Lost River – a macabre fantasy about a single mother (Christina Hendricks) who watches as her teenaged son discovers a secret road to an underwater town – stars Iain De Caestecker (TV’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Matt Smith, Eva Mendes, and Saoirse Ronan. Check out the film’s beyond-tease-y teaser, and see if you think you’ll care to see it when it is released later this year.

RyGos to Dance?
Ryan Gosling musta liked behind the camera because the hottie – who recently played director on How to Catch a Monster, his upcoming debut in that capacity – is itching to go back to there again.
Yes, RyGos is circling the starring role in a forthcoming Busby Berkeley biopic that he is set to produce. And maybe helm, too.
Berkeley was fame choreographer notorious for his elaborate, geographic routines in studio musicals likes 42nd Street.
Well...we know the guy has the moves, so I hope he totally does it.

Wanna See Ryan Gosling’s Package?
The world of deleted scenes is a fertile one.
First we got to ogle at Benedict Cumberbatch as he smoldered in a deleted shower scene from Star Trek Into Darkness, and now this.
Thank the heavens.
See, for some (crazy) reason, director Derek Cianfrance decided to cut a scene in which the backlicious Ryan Gosling strips down from his spring offering The Place Beyond the Pines, which is hitting DVD shelves on Aug. 12.
Like, really.
Lucky for us, said deleted scene has found its way to the glorious Internet – so go ahead and enjoy it and enjoy it hard.
I’ll say it: RyGos’ package is outta control, huh. Like, it picks up what Tom Cruise’s put down in Magnolia and then some.

Sure Do Love to See RyGos Go
Just in case you were hoping for a clue that would help you recognize Ryan Gosling from the back, here is Ryan Gosling’s (flawless) back.
Just picturethose sweatpants around his ankles it without those tattoos. (The ink was part of his costume for his part in last spring’s The Place Beyond the Pines.)
Nice.

Nice.
Yeah, that’s right. No need to agree.

Wanna Fight?
Thank goodness for the French (one-sheets).
I couldn’t find anything wrong with the poster that was released stateside to promote director Nicolas Winding Refn’s Thailand-set revenge drama Only God God Forgives, starring Ryan Gosling – but I can see how the French art kicks the American art’s ass.
Totally think this is even moodier than red on black and white, if that is possible.
Plus...more of RyGos’ punum.
Swoon.

You Are Breaking My Heart, RyGos
Ryan Gosling’s thinking about taking a break.
I am way too distraught to type anything else on the subject.

Please.
