The Return of William Rast

William Rast is back, yo.

You know, the clothing label that Justin Timberlake co-founded 11 years ago.

The multi-hyphenate and his partners have revamped the brand for fall, reportedly with new Americana-inspired T-shirts, jeans, and jackets now available at Belk, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale’s, among other retailers.

For real.

Check out William Rast’s re-introduction now:

Can you see yourself in Timberlake’s looks?

Allen JT

What an oh-so-actorly rite of passage.

Justin Timberlake has signed on to become Woody Allen’s next leading man.

Indeed, JT has joined the Kate Winslet-including cast of the filmmaker’s new untitled 1950s-New York-set project, which also shall feature Jim Belushi and Juno Temple (HBO’s Vinyl).

Not bad, huh.

Not bad at all.

The Becks the Sex(iest)

What...a sexy, obvious, vintage, easy to choice to make, People.

David Beckham has been named the Sexiest Man Alive for 2015. Because clearly.

While some may argue that the Becks is years overdue for the honor – the guy has proven he has what it takes to wear the crown on and off the pitchtime and time and time again – all I have to say is better late than never.

Seriously, this couldn’t have happened to anyone more deserving.

Sorry, Justin Timberlake, Idris Elba, Jussie Smolett, and Jake Gyllenhaal – maybe next year!

Meet Young Silas Timberlake, Y’all

In an effort to deter paparazzi from climbing over their walls, perhaps, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have introduced their son, Silas Randall Timberlake, to the world themselves.

Via Instagram, natch.

What a cutie.

JT Is a DILF Now

Jessica Biel has gone and turned Justin Timberlake into a DILF.

The couple welcomed a son they’ve named Silas Randall Timberlake this week, three months after confirming in January what most of us learned last November (that they were expecting).

This is the first child for both, and the couple is said to be all ecstatic and s---.

Good for them!

JT Is Gonna Be a DILF!

Guess that they can thank that eager In Style editor who offered them congrats on expecting a baby last week for having to deal with all of this this week, huh.

I’m talking about Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, who reportedly, definitely are going to become parents.

Since neither has confirmed the news, though, we gotta take this one with a grain of salt and maintain that JT will be a DILF, indeed.

Yeah, some day.

Adam Levine Is Officially the Sexiest

After almost a week of anticipation, People has officially named Adam Levine the Sexiest Man Alive for 2013.

And then the Internet broke at an even split between the swooners and the haters.

Meanwhile, Idris Elba, HGTV stars Jonathan and Drew Scott, President of Pop Justin Timberlake, Ronan Farrow, and Justin Theroux also made a sexy cut in this year’s list of men who have it going on.

From President of Pop to Man of the Year

According to the world GQ, Justin Timberlake is one of the Men of the Year.

Yeah, OK. I see it.

Of course I do. He does run this bitch, after all.

President of Pop JT was chosen for the honor by the men’s fashion magazine alongside Will Ferrell, the late James Gandolfini, Kendrick Lamar, and Matthew McConaughey.

’Cause like, they are all like, fine and talented, super-cool gentlemen. Although Timberlake doesn’t think so (that he is cool, that is).

Which – duh – abso-totally validates the magazines point for picking him.

Take Back the House

This is what happens when you mess with Justin Timberlake on screen these days: You. Get. Schooled.

Which, I guess, is what happens any time you gun for the guy, for he rocks.

But, yeah, going back to the topic at hand – the Costa Rica-set gambling-world thriller Runner Runner co-starring Ben Affleck as the villain, a woefully underwritten Gemma Arterton as his associate and Timberlake’s love interest, and all of their fabulous tans – that’s basically the gist of what happens. Timberlake schools Affleck.

He schools him good.

And that’s because Timberlake’s at that point in his acting career in which he gets to play The Hero. And while it may still be hard to sometimes get lost in the presence of JT the Actor – being President of Pop is his full-time job and persona, and that charisma absolutely has come in handy for some of his better-received turns, like in The Social Network and Friends with Benefits, but here it is a hindrance (and, ya know, I wouldnt say that the ending of In Time established him a clear-cut hero).

Yes, you root for the guy in this one, but do you really buy him as a down-on-his-luck wiz-kid Princeton student who falls in with the wrong crowd?

Not quite...because his Richie Furst, with his too-good-for-his-own-good ’tude kinda looks like belongs in this world of high stakes and pool parties and fast cars and beyond-sexy ladies and good ol Third World corruption over which Afflecks snaky Ivan Block presides with white-collar precision and panache, OKRRR. (Ah, but make no mistake, he is a dangerous crook who will feed you to his crocodiles if you cross him – yes, he has crocs! – and Affleck acquits himself rather nicely with the appropriate scenery chewing that is asked of him.)

Richie has arrived at Ivan’s tropical door looking to expose the trick that he believes cheated him out of a large bet on a game of online poker and looking to get a reward. That’s how smart he is, and, I mean, that’s what passes for nuance in Runner Runner. The fact that I think that, for we are painted a bad-boy picture of Richie during the first 15 minutes of the movie, is proof that the writers shoulda spent a little more time baking this one up. Richie is naughty but also the victim. And, eventually, he is the victim but also the hero.

Huh?

Runner Runner would work infinitely better if our sympathies weren’t asked to change on a dime. There’s room for ambiguity in a thriller such as this one, as well there should – is Arterton’s capable Rebecca playing Richie or is she really hoping for a break from Ivan? is the FBI hard-ass-character that Anthony Mackie portrays really that recklessly gung-ho about his case that he essentially goes so off book to get his job done that there is no book anymore? is Costa Rica really that gorge? (Maybe, maybe not. Puerto Rico stood in for Costa Rica during production.)

It all ultimately is handled a little too clumsily for any of it to matter. All bets are off, and it’s just nice to see this trio looking so aglow in one another’s company, even if it means you have stopped caring if anyone gets his just deserts.

Unlucky for Timberlake ’cause he deserves better. He’s earned the right to play a better hero than this one.

My Rating **

President of Pop JT Owned the MTV VMAs

So that long-awaited and much-anticipated N’SYNC reunion came to be on tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards, and it was awesome.

Not as awesome as the absolutely show-stopping performance by the Jimmy Fallon-annointed President of Pop – and Video of the Year winner, for the fantastic Mirrors” – Justin Timberlake, though.

That was, well...I couldn’t possibly begin to tell you, so watch.

I am. Again and again until MTV takes this amazing situation off the Web on some silly claim.

And click here to find out who took home the 2013 Moonmen (winners included Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pink, and Taylor Swift).

Not that’s how you receive what is essentially a Lifetime Achievement Award. By showcasing that for which you are being honored. And taking numbers.

#FTW!

And Going to Brooklyn for the VMAs Are...

And, hey, speaking of upcoming awards shows, Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are leading the pack with six nominations apiece going into the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

JT’s Mirrors” and the rap act’s “Thrift Shop” are up for Video of the Year, opposite Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Robin Thicke.

Pink is also going to the party, having scored three nods, although no of ’em is for Try.

The VMAs will air live from Brooklyn on MTV, on Aug. 25.

Btw, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ awesome gay lullaby in rap Same Love” is up for a new Moonman recognizing artists’ commitment to social change.

Oh, High Stakes and Men

Do not mess with Ben Affleck when he’s gambling.

I seem to remember som’in’ about the Oscar winner reportedly having a bit of a problem with gaming a while back, and, if I’m not too mistaken, that’s why he checked into Promises once upon a time. I think poker was his poison, which – combined with the booze that usually accompanies the high-rolling games to which any decent card player like him would attend in Hollywood or Vegas or whathaveya – eventually made for an unfun situation for him.

All this to say that Affleck probably had something to mine from for his role in Runner Runner, a thriller co-starring Justin Timberlake and Gemma Arterton opening on Sept. 27.

In the movie, JT plays a pretty-much-broke college wiz who cracks the trick behind an online poker game, right. But when he loses it all, he arranges a get-together with the man he thinks cheated him outta his winnings (Affleck), becoming entangled in seductive-at-first-but-nevertheless-dangerous web of offshore conspiracy and all that good stuff (Anthony Mackie also appears in the movie, as an FBI agent).

So even though the Goliath-like guy Affleck plays is of the school of thought that the house always win, you know Timberlake’s character’s just not gonna take it and go all David on his ass.

Betting peeps, wager who will win this one among yourselves.

The New Daddy Warbucks?

March has been like, Justin Timberlake’s month because of his music, but don’t you go thinkin’ he’s done playing actor.

Rumor has it the multi-hyphenate is a wanted man – to potentially play Daddy Warbucks opposite Academy Award nominee Quvenzhané Wallis in the Will Gluck-directed musical remake of Annie.

Given that JT’s new BFF Jay-Z is producing, it seems like this would be more than hearsay, but the folks at Sony, the studio behind the project, have denied the story and called it just that indeed.

I don’t know...I don’t know. This one could could very well pan out (especially because the guy has taken to wearing Christian Louboutins!).

But...I don’t know.

In the meantime, check out Timberlake’s video for his latest single off his 20/20 ExperienceMirrors.” And lets hope he pushes “Pusher Love Girl” on us real soon. So enjoyable.

The Experience’s Not Over

So, evidently, Justin Timberlake’s new 20/20 Experience album – which officially comes out today – only has 10 songs on it.

And, obviously, people have been wondering what gives, especially after Roots drummer ?uestlove suggested it, following JT’s concert at SXSW last Saturday night, that there just had to be 10 more songs in the horizon.

Which there are.

Timberlake himself confirmed the rumor last night, at his record release party: The second half of The 20/20 Experience will come out in November.

Pusher music boy, I love it!

Here’s to a Legendary Summer

Looks like Beyoncé won’t be the only member of the Carter-Knowles household hitting the road this year.

Jay-Z will join his new BFF Justin Timberlake on tour in the summer, for the 12-city stadium “Legends of the Summer Tour.

Are you dying?

JT and Mr. Z will kick things off in Toronto on July 17, wrapping up in my Miami on Aug. 16. Tickets go on sale on Feb. 28.

Justin Timberlake, everybody’s favorite SNL host, is going back for more.

Yes siree! JT will host Saturday Night Live for the fifth time on March 9.

Naturally, the multi-hyphenate also will serve as the night’s musical guest.

Timberlake will use his time on the show to not only make us laugh like its going out of style but also to promote his hotly anticipated 20/20 Experience album.

Dusting Off the Ol’ Suit & Tie

Well, that didn’t take long: Justin Timberlake is headed back to the stage.

The multi-hyphenate is doing the music thing again, and to make sure everyone knows it he is taking his act to the Super Bowl.

No, sillies – he’s not moving in on Beyoncé’s halftime gig. JT’s gonna perform at the DirecTV Super Saturday Night event, benefitting the Shriners Hospital for Children, the night before the 49ers-Ravens big game on Feb. 3.

So if you have DirecTV I guess you’ll be able to tell us what Suit & Tie” sounds like live, yeah?

Oh, wait, no – the show will not be televised. Darn. Well, at least now we have a preview of the video for “Suit & Tie.

Take what you can get, people.

Wear It, Live It, Love It

And here it is: Justin Timberlake’s new music.

JT dropped the lead single off his upcoming new album, The 20/20 Experience, on the iTunes last night, while we were all watching the Golden Globes.

The song is called Suit & Tie.

The Timbaland-produced track starts quite strong, but then it turns silly just like that. Listen to it and you will understand.

But then it recovers just as quickly. Best way to describe the song is it’s all about being fly and s---. It’s not gonna be everybody’s cup right out the gate, but it definitely grows on ya, and it does feature Jay-Z, so it’s got some edge.

Timberlake keeps sayin’ he’s gonna show us a few things in it, and I for one can’t wait to hear more.

JT’s Finally Back!

At long last, Justin Timberlake’s giving us what we have been wanting for years: More on-screen shots of his ass New music!

And it is coming early next week.

Because he is finally ready.

This is going to be huge. I hope the iTune is ready, too, because to make the news even hotter, JT’s new single reportedly will feature Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

What?!

Is it me or are our favorite celebs simply dead-set on making this winter a scorching one.
