The Little Princess

It’s (royal) share time: Twenty-one-month-old Prince George Alexander Louis has a little sister now.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, o.k.a. the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, welcomed their second child together, a girl, in London this morning.

Kensington Palace did not announce the baby’s name, but did state that the duchess and her daughter are doing well at St. Mary’s Hospital.

And, maybe, getting ready to leave the hospital soon.

Update 1: The world’s new favorite princess, fourth in line for the throne, is the first Princess of Cambridge to be born in more than 180 years.

Such an accomplished one already.

Update 2: It was announced on May 4 that the little princess’ name is...Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

OMG, Prince George Is Getting So Cute!

How quickly they grow up!

I mean, look...at Prince George Alexander Louis. Look at those cheeks! And those chunky legs.

Is that cute or what?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, a.k.a. Prince William and Kate Middleton, clearly knew they had some good pics of their 16-month-old son in their hands after he struck a pose at Kensington Palace, which is why they released some of ’em over the weekend – just in time to make the world a little bit happier for Christmas.

How Cute Are the Cambridges?

There are family portraits, and then there are royal family portraits.

So it’s a good thing, a refreshing thing, Prince William and Kate Middleton, a.k.a. Princess Kate of England, kept the latest family photo they released to the press – of themselves and their precious 8-months-old Prince George Alexander Louis and their dog Lupo – fairly grounded and worthy of the former description.

Low-key, no frills. Simple. Regal but not stuffy.

Welcome to the new monarchy, beeyotches!

And Then the Prince Was Christened

Prince George Alexander Louis officially owns his name.

The firstborn son of Prince William and Princess Kate of England was christened on Oct. 23 in London, and, boy, was that baby stylin’.

In a relatively new gown.
See, the little prince wore a replica of the traditional christening robe that had been in use ever since it was made for Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal, in 1841. His grandma, Queen Elizabeth II, commissioned the gown five years ago in order to preserve the original.

Long live the (cute) Prince!

A Cute Royal Snap

Prince George Alexander Louis is a prince for the modern era, alright.

The firstborn son of Prince William and Princess Kate struck a pose – with a little help from his parents, natch – for his second public photo op today, just a few days short of his turning 1 month old.

Courtesy of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and taken by Kate’s father, Michael Middleton (your move, Prince Charles!), there’s the pic you see at right, and another of the happy trio surrounded by a couple of Middleton family pet dogs.

Cute, huh.

Now...where are the pics of that RUILF Prince Harry holding his nephew?

C’mon, guys – throw us a bone.

Introducing Baby Cambridge

And after a little more waiting, we finally met Baby Cambridge, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge’s firstborn son.

The trio made its first public appearance outside St. Mary’s Hospital a few moments ago, around 7:15 p.m., London time.

After their quick visit with the world, during which William said the baby has Kate’s lips and, thankfully, way more hair than he does, the happy family left the hospital for Kensington Palace, with William placing his son in the car seat and driving home himself.

Welcome to the modern monarchy, yo.

Oh, btw, the prince said that they are still working on a name, and that he hopes we can all get back to normal now.

Good luck with that, kids. Now we want a pic that hot uncle of his holding the baby.

Mmm...Prince Harry, holding Baby Cambridge.

As if that guy needs any more help getting tail.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Kate, looking a tad overwhelmed but ever gracious, wore a bespoke creme de chine Jenny Packham polka dot light blue dress for her public debut as a mum (polka dots...just like Princess Diana wore when William made his grand debut outside St. Mary’s 31 years ago).

Update 1: Hey, speaking of Diana, what if they name the baby Spencer? That would be a nice way to honor Wills’ mum.

Update 2: Click here for up-close pics of the new pride of Britain, y’all.

Update 3: And the baby’s name is...George Alexander Louis.
