Grammy nominee Jennifer Lopez and Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda have gone and served us up the duet we didn’t even know we wanted or needed.
See, Boricuas went on the Today show today – on the eve of the first month since the horror in Orlando – to debut “Love Make the World Go Round,” a defiantly upbeat little ditty complete with a spit break by Miranda that dares us to love, not hate, and come together as one in the face of unspeakable tragedy.
Given the circumstances of the past month, I say it’s nice to have a little som’in’ happy to sing to ourselves when s--- happens. Have a listen.

And joining Emily Blunt in Disney’s forthcoming remake/continuation of Mary Poppins will be...none other than Broadway king Lin-Manuel Miranda!
The Hamilton sensation is set to play a lamplighter named Jack in the project, which will be set 20 years after the events of the 1964 classic and – given that it will be based on P.L. Travers’ The Mary Poppins Stories – chronicle the character’s later travels.
Rob Marshall (Into the Woods) will direct for a Christmas Day 2018 release.
The new Depression Era-set film will center on a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, who, along with his tree kids, are visited by Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Together with Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder they are so missing in their lives.
