According to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), Kate Winslet (The Reader), Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight), and Penélope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) did the best acting jobs of 2008.Slumdog Millionaire was named Best Film at the weekend ceremony in London, while Man on Wire won Best British Film.
