The Look of Maleficent

At last, Maleficent is happening.

Behold the first image of Angelina Jolie in costume as the Mistress of Evil, a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty’s antagonist.

The 3-D project – that’s not due to arrive in theaters until next spring – promises to reveal just why Maleficent acts the way she does toward Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning), and, one would hope, just where she got the inspiration for such a fierce look.
