Richard Madden (Cinderella, HBO’s Game of Thrones) is going to topline a new Amazon drama pilot titled Strange New Things.
Read that right: Strange. New. Things.
That sound you hear is Netflix going WTF.
Based on the Michael Faber novel The Book of Strange New Things, the project will center on Peter (the erstwhile Robb Stark), a priest sent into space to help found a new colony. The task and all the discoveries that come with it ultimately tests the limits of the man’s faith, as well as life as he knows it.
Kevin MacDonald (The Last King of Scotland) is directing the hour-long pilot, so, you know...prestige.
