The Star Trek Beyond star is going to executive produce and star on Biopunk, an hour-long dramatic adaptation of Marcus Wohlsen’s Biopunk: DIY Scientists Hack the Software of Life.
The potential new show will zero in on the underground world of bio-hackers – the do-it-yourselfer-garage-scientists looking to become the Steve Jobs of biotech – with Quinto playing their idiosyncratic leader.
Says the actor of the project, “Having spent some time in my career exploring the landscape of science-fiction, it is a particularly exciting step to delve into a world of science-fact.”
