The Best Jobs

Michael Fassbender has begun winning dem awards for Best Actor.

The...uh...thespian is on the road to Oscar with the flop-ish Steve Jobs, and, yesterday, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association delivered the 12 Years a Slave star the boost he needed to secure a tighter grip on a potential second Academy Award nomination.

So good for him.

The L.A. critics almost also singled out Mad Max: Fury Road as Best Picture – echoing the National Board of Review – but ultimately decided to pull a Gotham Independent Film Awards and instead honor Spotlight.

Charlotte Rampling, btw, was named Best Actress, for 45 Years, by the Angelenos and the Boston Society of Film Critics, which also went with Spotlight for Best Picture of the year that almost was.
