Jim Sturgess has been tapped to play opposite the Scot in the forthcoming Geostorm, a little movie about a couple of men who must save the world from a massive man-made storm designed to distract from a plot to assassinate the president of the United States.
Right....
Sturgess will play the estranged brother of Butler’s character, a bull-headed-but-charming sort, with whom he must partner to regain control of the world’s climate-control satellites.
Abbie Cornish also has jumped on board, as the Secret Service agent-gf of Sturgess’ character, while Andy Garcia and Ed Harris will portray the POTUS and the secretary of state, whom I betcha has som’in’ to do with all the nefariousness involved behind the storm
Geostorm is due out in 2016.
