The Voice of Thanos

Huge news, Marvel fans: Josh Brolin is gonna voice-play Thanos.

You know...the big, Death-obsessed intergalactic purple-colored super-bad that was first tease-troduced at the end of The Avengers two years ago. The one that most some of us thought that Vin Diesel was in the running to take on at one point, before it was announced that he will be, in fact, pipe-realizing the part of Groot in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy.

Speaking of which, the August blockbuster will mark Brolin’s debut in the role.

Thanos reportedly will be all CGI – a bit of a given, considering how we was first allowed to be seen – and we get way more from him as his presence gets the expansion treatment when The Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out next May, for, like I said, he will be those guys’ main antagonist.

Strong choice, Marvel. Strong choice.
