Finding a New J.M. Barrie

I have been hearing about how Finding Neverland was/is becoming a Harvey Weinstein-produced Broadway show for years (a little bird once told me that, at one point, even Julia Roberts read for it).

And now, it is finally happening.

With Tony nominee Matthew Morrison playing Johnny Depp’s Oscar-nominated part of J.M. Barrie.

But, wait – the show is not hitting Broadway right away.

M2 will lead a workshop of the musical, I presume in New York, that would then move to Cambridge, Mass., for a bit, then have a run in London, before coming back stateside for a Great White Way debut during the 2015-16 season.

Finding Neverland would mark a return to Broadway for Morrison, who has been living la vida Glee since 2009.
