American Mother

Just like Marcia Cross, former Desperate Housewife Felicity Huffman is on her way back to a small screen near you.

The Emmy winner has signed on to headline American Crime, a potential new ABC drama written and executive produced by Oscar winner John Ridley (12 Years a Slave).

Huffman will play the stoic mother of a fallen young war vet who was murdered under racially charged circumstances. Timothy Hutton is set to play her ex-husband (her ex because he was a gambler).

Here’s to hoping the show lives on a healthy life. I was just thinking I was missing Huffman just a couple of days ago.
