Dark Places Ahead

The adaptation of hot author Gillian (Gone Girl) Flynn’s 2009 novel Dark Places is gonna look good.

Charlize Theron is already slated to star in the project, the story of a woman who, as a child who survived the brutal murder of her family and testified against her accused brother only to be questioned and confronted about the events 20 years later.

And now comes word that Emmy nominee Christina Hendricks (AMC’s Mad Men) has landed the role of Theron’s late mother.

The actress, of course, will be seen via flashbacks.

Dark Places also will feature Chloë Grace Moretz, Nicholas Hoult, and Corey Stoll (Netflix’s House of Cards) as Theron’s brother.
