Coming Home to Bon Temps for the End

The fantastic (mis)adventures of Sookie Stackhouse are coming to an end.

HBO has announced that next year shall bring forth the very last season of its addictive-as-V True Blood.

Better to leave the party while (some) people still like ya!

And does the news come not a moment too soon or what. Even by its supernatural standards, the show had begun to appear a bit long in the fang thanks to a sprawling cast in need of servicing and their meandering storylines, although the recent sixth season ended on what I believe was a nice return to form.

Season 7, indeed, promises to bring it all home to Bon Temps for Sookie (Anna Paquin) & Co.

We will find out if she and the H-O-T werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello) will go the distance or if she and noble-vampire-turned-godly-a--hole Bill (Stephen Moyer) will find a way back to each other, all against the backdrop of the drama the so-called-by-me coming-to-town zombie vampers will provide.

More importantly, though, we will find that Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) is still very much alive and that he, more than anyone, will have a happily ever after.

At least thats what I want.

The final 10-episode season of True Blood will premiere next summer, quite possibly in June, per tradition.
