Royal Baby Time!

That so-called Great Kate Wait is almost over.

Indeed, it looks like today’s the day everyone will be talking about Kate Middleton’s vagina the royal baby will arrive: The Duchess of Cambridge is in labor!

Her Royal Highness reportedly was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital this morning, with Prince William right there by her side

Update 1: The wait is over: The royal baby – a boy! – has arrived.

Wills and Kate firstborn came into the world at 4:24 p.m., London time.

The third in line for the British throne weighed a healthy 8 lbs. 6 oz.

Update 2: Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, a.k.a. Camilla, are overjoyed” at the baby boy’s arrival.

Update 3: Prince William and Kate (duchess or not, we all know her as Kate, so don’t ask for formality right now...) have said they could not be happier” to be parents. The prince also expressed his gratitude to the staff, patients, and visitors of St. Mary’s, for the their “tremendous care.

And surely for their patience as well.

Update 4: Meanwhile, Barack and Michelle Obama have issued a statement of congratulations to the happy couple and the people of the United Kingdom.

“Michelle and I wish them all the happiness and blessings parenthood brings,” POTUS said. “Given the special relationship between us, the American people are pleased to join with the people of the U.K. as they celebrate the birth of the young prince.

Update 5: And in other baby news, Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem also welcomed a bundle of joy on July 22, a baby girl born in Madrid.

Way to fly under the radar, you two.
