The Duchess of Cambridge is going without a shower, yo.
A baby shower, that is.
Indeed, and contrary to reports that her sister Pippa is throwing her one, Kate Middleton is not expected to have one of ’em traditional parties to celebrate her great, royal expectation because – whaddya know – those shindigs aren’t tradition in Great Britain (yet).
Plus, it would be totally unseemly for the commoner-turned-duchess to have one, for whatever crazy reason (I say she is earning her right to have a little cake, carrying that precious cargo under the microscope of the world).
Oh, c’mon, Wills – have your granny throw her a secret tea party one day. Som’in’ simple and tasteful.
Or, hey, just pull a Shakira and Gerard Piqué.
