Marvel Studios reportedly has 21 star Jim Sturgess, as well as – possibly – Zachary Levi, at the top of its list to play Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord, in Guardians of the Galaxy.
The character, a charming troublemaker who serves as an interplanetary cop determined to protect the solar system from an evil alien race, is the son of a human lady and an alien gentleman.
Levi has a supporting role in the forthcoming Thor sequel, though (he replaced Josh Dallas, who could not get away from TV’s Once Upon a Time, as Fandral). So that would be odd, no?
I like the idea of seeing Sturgess in a big blockbuster-type movie. They probably would buff him up good for it.
