As Gorbachev

Christoph Waltz is somewhere in the world right now dusting off his Russian accent.

The Oscar-winning star of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and the director’s Django Unchained is set to play former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev in the historical drama Reykjavik.

Waltz joins Michael Douglas on the Mike Newell-directed project; the Wall Street actor is set to play Ronald Reagan.

This just stinks of Oscar bait for the both of ’em, huh.
