The second season of American Horror Story is about to get a shot of indie.

Chloë Sevigny is looking to stay in the realm of cable post-HBO’s Big Love and is in advanced talks to join the cast of the hit FX anthology series. She would play a character named Shelly the Nymphomaniac...so you know she’s gonna be all kinds of funsies.

Ryan Murphy & Co. are so into the actress they specifically wrote the part for her and made it extra-juicy – Shelly’s described as one of the mortal enemies of the new character Jessica Lange will be playing.
