Mrs. Sleeper Cell

I.

Can barely.

Breathe.

Keri Russell is coming back to TV (again).

The actress, who gave it a go last season with the short-lived Fox comedy Running Wilde (R.I.P.), has been cast as the female lead in The Americans, an FX hour-long drama pilot to be directed by Gavin O’Connor (Warrior).

The ’80s-set story will follow a couple of KGB spies (one of whom will be played by Russell), posing as the typical neighbors next door in a Washington, D.C., suburb. It’s an arranged thing, but with every passing day, he becomes more and more assimilated and the two grow closer, even as they’re tested by that pesky escalating Cold War or yore.

Best. News. Of the week, right.
