Chey & Co. Take on Prop 8

Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black is taking on the California silliness known as Prop 8 with a new play titled Prop 8, and producers have tapped a Who’s Who to participate in its one-night reading next month.

Cootie-patootie Cheyenne Jackson will be there for Black, as well as Anthony Edwards, Morgan Freeman, Christine Lahti, Rob Reiner, and Marisa Tomei.

Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Wicked) is directing. Prop 8 is expected to be mounted at Carnegie Mellon University, Northwestern, and the University of Michigan, among others, after that.
