Out for Blood

Scott Foley is having a moment
– and I love it.

The erstwhile Noel Crane has come a long way from his days as one of Felicity’s paramours.

He starred in The Unit, which I didn’t watch, and guested on numerous shows I did/do watch, like Scrubs and Law & Order: SVU and Cougar Town and Grey’s Anatomy.

Well, now Foley’s adding True Blood to that list of credits.

The actor is in such demand he already booked a major recurring role on the HBO summer pleasure’s fifth season (that’s right...and the fourth one hasn’t even premiered yet – that’s happening this weekend).

He will be playing Patrick, a tough and rugged old buddy of PTSD-afflicted Terry’s (Todd Lowe) who comes to Bon Temps for a visit. We will first see him on one episode this season and then again a few times during the next one.

The gig will not interfere with his schedule on Grey’s Anatomy.
