G.P. Gets Glee

I like this a lot, because it’s pretty genius and because it reinforces a theory I have.

Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to guest on TV’s Glee.

The Academy Award winner would be following in her BFF Madonna’s footsteps, in a way, by appearing on the show as, get this, a love interest for Matthew Morrison’s Mr. Will “Schue” Schuester.

Paltrow’s character, a substitute teacher who takes over New Directions while Mr. Schuester is out sick, would be seen in two episodes airing in November. The kids will love her, and Will...well, he will start to fall for her...further complicating his relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays, who will be keeping busy herself with John Stamos).

As for that theory I had....

G.P. is starring in a movie called Country Strong (that’s her as Kelly Canter at right) this holiday/award season, and she showcases her singing ability. Drawing attention to her pipes by guesting on a hit TV show about singing is quite the smart move. I dare say there is a machine at work here: a machine that wants her to get some awards lovin’ this season – and that the gamble just might pay off.
