Miss Mean

I’m kinda fixated on casting news for the film adaptation of Kathryn Stockett’s 1960s-set The Help – and I haven’t even read the book (yet).

I think it’s the girl-power-y vibe of the project.

Anyway, Bryce Dallas Howard is the latest actress
attached to an ensemble that already includes Emma Stone and Academy Award nominee Viola Davis.

Howard, who will next be seen in
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is in talks to play Hilly Holbrook, the Queen Bee of a group of upper-class Mississippi women who treat their black maids poorly and wind up the subjects of a scathing book depicting their deplorable behavior.

Production on The Help is set to begin in July.
