Taylor Kitsch has signed on to lead the upcoming Battleship adaptation, an actioner loosely based on the board game that will have a sci-fi angle to it, pitting the Navy against a sort of alien armada.

Love it already.

And love that Kitsch, whom I heart even more now that I’m all caught up with TV’s Friday Night Lights (and eagerly anticipating the fourth season), is well on his way to becoming a big ol’ star (he is also starring in John Carter of Mars, so there you go).
