A Princess with Soul
They have had white princesses of all hair colors, an Arabian princess, and even a half-fish princess.
Now Disney has decided it is about time it joined us over here in the 21st century and will introduce its first black princess, Tiana, to movie audiences, in 2009.
The teaser trailer for The Princess and the Frog is out and about, and it looks sooo retro (the movie will Disney’s first 2-D offering in five years) I kind of heart it already. Check it out:

Just for a princess, not for president, next year, puhleeese.
Doubtful. Animated films are 4-5 years in the making. I don't think Disney wants to make Barack Obama happy by giving his daughters a princess to relate to.
